SWK 610 - Advanced Practicum I

Credits: 3

This course is the first 16-week capstone course for the MSW Advanced program. Students will be introduced to the advanced level of social work practice at an agency setting. The online course includes a practicum internship consisting of approximately 15 hours a week of observation, shadowing and building competence of the social work practitioner at the advanced level. In addition to course assignments, students must also complete 225 clock hours by the end of the semester.

Prerequisites: Students must be advanced standing and have practicum placement application approved by field director.
