Liberal Arts and Sciences Major, B.S. or B.A.

The liberal arts and sciences program focuses on the study of humanities with eight distinct concentrations. The program offers students an opportunity to express creativity, develop interpersonal and professional communication skills, and hone critical thinking abilities while maintaining the adaptability many students require.

Liberal Arts and Sciences


General Education Requirements: 41 Hours


Concentration Area: 21 Hours


Students will choose from one of the concentration areas below and complete the courses required for that area.

Business Administration Concentration

Christian Studies Concentration


Choose three Christian Studies courses, one course must be upper division: 9 Hours


Human Performance Concentration


Choose three Human Performance courses, one course must be upper division: 9 Hours

Individualized Studies Concentration


The 21 hours can be hours from an existing program/major (that’s not a Liberal Arts and Sciences concentration area) or hours utilized to create a designed concentration area. Designed concentration areas must be approved by either the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (for students pursuing the program on-campus) or the Dean of Regional Instruction (for students pursing the program at regional centers) or the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Choose seven courses, 3 courses must be upper division: 21 Hours


Human Health Sciences Concentration


The Human Health Sciences Concentration is designed for students who enter the Chiropractic program without a bachelor degree, but need one for state licensing.

Choose any courses from any college or school that are not used to meet other program requirements. Of the 55 hours, 33 hours must be upper division (level 300-400).

Total: 120 Required Hours for a Bachelor Degree
