MA 110 - Medical Insurance

Credits: 2

This course is designed to teach the student how to properly submit and complete insurance claim forms. Identifying and assigning correct CPT and ICD-10 codes and understanding different health insurance programs, including government-sponsored programs will be essential to the course. The course will also familiarize the student with the adjudication of health claims, explanation of benefits, and medical terminology that is common to all insurance carriers.
