MTH 305 - Number Theory

Credits: 3

This is a good introductory course to higher level mathematics. It is particularly appropriate for use in the Educator Preparation Program. The topics studied are divisibility properties of integers, prime numbers, congruencies, conditional congruencies, Fermat’s Theorem, The Quadratic Reciprocity Law, and Cryptography.

Prerequisites: MTH 210 or consent of instructor.
