MTH 130 - Elementary Statistics


Credits: 3

This course is designed to acquaint the student with the logic and method of statistics through topics that include summarizing data in tables and graphs, measures of center and variability, correlation and linear regression, sampling, Central Limit Theorem and the Normal curve, and hypothesis testing. Applications will be given through examples in various fields. This course will not count toward mathematics major or minor programs.

Prerequisites: Basic algebra skills.
