HP 311 - Drugs, Individuals, and Society

This course will examine various approaches to drug education with an emphasis on prevention models. Epidemiology of drug use in the US and the effects on American society are discussed. Specific exploration of the physiological, psychological and legal aspects of drug use and abuse is included. Emphasis is on understanding and preventing abusive drug behaviors.
