PHY 331 - Mechanics
Credits: 3
An intermediate course in classical mechanics covering Newtonian mechanics, motion of particles in multiple dimensions, rigid body motion and statics, gravitation, moving coordinate systems, Lagrange’s equations of motion, tensor algebra, the theory of small vibrations, special relativity, and relativistic dynamics.
Prerequisites: PHY 241 , PHY 242 .
