MTH 111 - College Algebra

Credits: 3

This course is designed to extend knowledge of high school algebra to more advanced topics. Topics included in this course are polynomials, rational expressions, solving linear, quadratic, higher degree polynomials, exponential equations, logarithmic equations as well as applications involving radicals. Functions, coordinate geometry, systems of equations and applications of these concepts are also included in the course.

Prerequisites: A math ACT score of 21 or higher, or MTH 100 with a “C” or better. This course does not count toward the Math major (with or without teacher certification).
