CLS 215 - Clinical Laboratory Skills

Credits: 4

This course is designed to provide the basic principles for laboratory skills. The course presents medical and clinical laboratory procedures and techniques that are significant to medical and laboratory assistants as well as to other health care professionals. The course also familiarizes students with the various duties and responsibilities performed by lab professionals such as physician’s orders, appointment scheduling techniques, and continuing through sample collection and processing, quality control, testing, reporting, maintenance, and quality assurance.
