This is a foundation course in International Studies designed to offer participants the basic knowledge and core skills necessary to analyze and appreciate the global experience from a multidisciplinary perspective. The course introduces students to the major issues in world affairs through a range of topics, such as poverty and population, climate change and the environment, armed conflicts and terrorism, international law and organizations, transnational crime and disease, global aid and development, and human rights.
