ECE 230 - Child Development II


Credits: 3

Applies the basic principles and theories of growth and development to examine children from two years of age through the years of middle childhood. In-depth study of developmental processes with emphasis on the biological and environmental aspects of physical, cognitive, language, moral, social, emotional, and personality development. Investigates the current research on the brain and individual development with implications for educational practice. Includes strategies for documenting individual children’s development and learning.

Prerequisites: ECE 130 .
Required: six hours of field experience.
