A Statement of Baptist Higher Education Values
Since 1906, Campbellsville University has existed to provide higher education opportunities to men and women in an academically challenging Christian environment within the Baptist tradition. Under the lordship of Christ, the institution affirms historic Baptist and educational principles including: the priesthood of the believer, the authority of Scripture, freedom of conscience, integration of faith and learning, and the pursuit of truth.
The University continues to maintain very close ties to Baptist churches and other like-faith entities as it provides Christ-centered higher educational opportunities to a diverse student population.
Campbellsville University recognizes the diversity of God’s creation and His infinite grace toward all people. God extends His love for all human beings through his Son, Jesus Christ. Affirming the good news of John 3:16 and Romans 10:13, the institution extends love for all humankind through a commitment to the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8) and the Great Commandment (Matt. 22:36-40).
