CS 501 - Computer Science Foundations 1

This course introduces the student to five primary area of Computer Science (CS) including: 1) Object Oriented Programming, 2) Networking, 3) Operating Systems, 4) Software Engineering, and 5) Database Programming. The purpose of the course is to provide the necessary CS foundational knowledge that will help the non-CS undergraduate with insights into some of the basic elements that exist within CS. Students will be required to have a computer capable of building programs representative of the five primary areas
