SC 510 - Foundations of Leadership and Ethics in School Counseling

focuses on the history, philosophy, and current trends in school counseling and educational systems. Other topics include ethical and legal considerations related specifically to the practice of school counseling (e.g., the ASCA Ethical Standards for School Counselors and the ACA Code of Ethics). Candidates learn key components of the professional identity of school counselors including professional roles, functions, and relationships with other human services providers, professional organizations, and professional credentialing.
