CS 629 - Robotics for Managers Credits: 3
This course focuses on integrating different aspects of robotic technologies (i.e. IoT) used in today’s business world as a means of determining a best course of action. The goal of this course is to promote understanding of today’s business managers and their potential adoption of robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and unmanned systems. This course will focus on what managers need to know about robotics and how best to apply appropriate decision-making models. Data acquisition, analysis, synthesis, and appropriate response behaviors will be used as a means to understand changing environmental conditions. Students will build basic set of electronic devices incorporating sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers that will form the intelligence gathering mechanisms for the operation(s) under study. Analysis and synthesis of the collected data will then be used to form the basis for establishing or changing business policy.
