DS 610 - Technical Writing

Credits: 3

This course prepares students to design effective documents for technical, or business writing for both written and digital media with emphasis upon technical memos, letters, reports, and proposals.  Emphasis will be placed on clarity, conciseness, and accuracy of expression.  To support these writing tasks, the course provides an introduction to principles of audience analysis, research and documentation, drafting and revision processes, effective use of graphics, and basic web technologies.
