CC 634 - Cloud Computing Security

Credits: 3

This course covers the many challenges when it comes to cloud computing. In the cloud, data is stored with a third-party provider and accessed over the internet. This means visibility and control over that data is limited. It also raises the question of how it can be properly secured. It is imperative everyone understands their respective role and the security issues inherent in cloud computing.  Students will learn about the various cloud computing security issues that can occur when using the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) online.
