CLS 105 - Introduction to Clinical Duties

Credits: 2

This course is designed to introduce the student to the essential and basic core of back office medical assisting skills. Skills mastered in this course include introduction to the medical assisting profession, infection control, patient assessment and education, vital signs, principles of pharmacology, administering medications, and assisting with primary physical examinations. Applied learning approach to all skill development and performance objectives is emphasized.
